As a 25-year luxury lifestyle and real estate copywriter, I specialize in articles and marketing collateral about houses as they pertain to real estate agents, designers, architects, contractors and artisans. I know all the architectural terms and real estate buzzwords, as well as a litany of descriptive ways to describe them.

I also write about travel as it relates to a sense of place, as well as yachts and yacht chartering.

My work has given me a wealth of experience and taken me to interesting places. I’ve done the nine-to five moving-up-the-ranks in the marketing department of the local newspaper, 80-hours-a-week as a reporter at a small start-up (now defunct) community newspaper, and I’ve even sent in my regular columns and articles remotely while out at sea researching and writing a travel story about an archaeological dive (while serving as cook, I might add. How many eggs do you need to stock for a crew of eight out for two weeks? 143).

With my background as an ex-staff-editor and reporter, I understand what editors expect: writing that’s engaging, well researched, timely and accurate.

As a freelance copywriter, I understand what real estate agents, architects, designers, and contractors need: advertorial copy that’s on target, fits the bill, attracts new clients, AND when it comes to media exposure, meets an editor’s requirements.

Work History

I  have columns in the Palm Beach Daily News, The Coastal Star, and the Oregonian. I write regularly for Florida Design, Miami Home & Decor, and Palm Beach. I have written for publications that include 1859, AAA Travel,  Sun-Sentinel, the Miami Herald’s Jewish Star Times, Palm Beach Life,  Muses & Visionaries, and The Real Deal.

On staff, I was the editor of Residences, a Sunday weekly real estate section for the marketing department at The Palm Beach Post, and, later, I worked as a reporter for Palm2Jupiter, covering real estate, architecture, interior design, business, health and science.

As a freelance copywriter, I help my clients with projects that include content management and design, as well as public relations, marketing materials, ghost-writing and photography.
